TODAYS WORK

Todays work consits of 5 special orders. Three were panel pipes. The Octagon panel poker, I copied from the Teddy Knudsen article in P&T magazine. I ve been taking so much from him lately I should probably be sending him royalty payments !

This pipe is a take off on a large four square except he wanted to make it difficult and asked for an octagon!

Horace DeJarne, a pipe maker, has long admired my Hexagon Panel calabash and asked that I make one for him.

The next pipe is a large Oom Paul that was made for Dan Innaimo. It had such a tight birdseye I came up with a new understaining to bring it out.

The last pipe is one of my catalog shapes, The Bent Dublin. Came out with a beautiful staight grain; they all should be like this !

Just a note, I got an e mail from the customer who purchased the Gold Apple pipe for the celebration of her second child as a gift to her husband. It was titled "Gold Apple Baby". Along with it was a pix of their new baby .Everything went very well and I was highly gratified.

The above pix have been taken with my new digital camera. I thnk it provides much clearer pix. I m still working on lighting and I m sure they ll improve as I become more experienced. Thanx to all who helped me with advice for this purchase.I ve put up 7 new pipes on the web catalog. Seven sandblasts ( SB 207-212 )and a Unique Bent 220. Five of them are horn shapes. They can be viewed in the New Product section of the web catalog.
