TODAYS WORK

6/30/2000

Today s work consists of some very specail pipes. The first I made for a good fishing buddy , Mike Kidd. I was over at his place on Spring Creek earlier this week and he showed me a great time. He mentioned he d be interested in a Heagon -Calabash sometime in the future. I needed a walnut this week for a store but this pie came out a natural 2 star straight grain and Mike snapped it up.

Last week I had to make some Caldrons up. I got the two corals I needed that were featured a couple of days ago. I had also sketched this one up and I ll let the pictures speak for themselves. It s available as UB 239.

3 star straight grain / Pristine

I came up with a different design, dont remember where the idea came from. But looking at the results I m happy with it. This is available as UB 240; a one star Pristine.

It s been a busy couple days as I also got done a Natural cross cut/ birdseye for a customer. You ve seen this before, its Mel Feldmans retirement pipe. I guess from now on I ll just refer to it as Mels pipe. I m going to send it to Paul for a hand cut cumberland stem.

The last pipe I ve made for El Humidor in Wilkes Barre, a Cabernet Freehand.
