Today s work consists of many pipes! Having finished the next run of Christmas pipes I m going to put up some of the new finishes. I m all out of Black & Tan s but will have more before Thanxgiving so those maybe ordered thru the web catalog, as with the pipes shown below:
The first new finish I m calling Bengal at the suggestion of William Purdy who purchased the first pipe in that finish, a dublin hawkbill.
Bengal Christmas 2000
Bengal 1 star
Bengal 2 star
(pipe has more black highlights than shown)
Another new finish ( for me) is a Black or Dress finish
Probably the best pipe of the Christmas pipe series a four star:
Taking a break from work I had to do; I made a pipe witha block I had been looking at for months and came up with this shape which I thought suited it. It s not finished as I d like a custom silver band to be added to it at a future date but it s a one or two star BB. Here are some shots of it:
The next group of pipes are on the web catalog under Black and Tan. As there seems to be a large demand for pipes in this finish I ve tried to make them when possible. The first is my favorite:
Dave decided to try his hand at a drip wax finish.
The last pipe is one of my catalog shapes, a caldron, and is commisioned by a LSW for her husbands Christmas present.
Christmas pipe season is officially open and maybe ordered off the web catalog.I do have a stock of most finishes and grades and ones that I dont have will be supplied on a first come basis. The sandblasts should be ready early next week. I ll be adding more pipes as they become available .
