Todays work consists of another pipe for Dave Pestor. I mean Nestor. Busiest time of year, arranging my fly boxes, cleaning my lines, awaiting the first breath of warm air in the NE. And he wants his second pipe in a week......It was kind of an adventure as he wanted me to copy a Picta wih a flared long silver band. Ho hum..... I said , Dave, " I m not a silversmith".
Well , Dave being the resourceful guy he is, went to the local hardware store and came back with a copper pipe flaring tool. I told him we could only try this once and he plunges ahead , and got very lucky.! Here s the pipe in a Mocha stain:
I got lucky today while working on an unusual request for a natural blast bulldog setter. I started with two pipes and got the customers on the first shot. I had a trailer block that I finished up this morning and was I surprised by the dense birdsye on this pipe! Finished with a faux horn ferrule, in Mocha, Size 5, 3 star.In the web store as :
