GLENN S PIPES

Todays work is somewhat of a retrospective of pipes Glenn made this summer. Most were either sold or given away to pipe smokers who helped him with his quest to learn the banjo. Some people were very generous with their time and music and we thank them! Glenn has worked hard to hone his craft. All the pipes were shaped freehand and the lathe was just used for drilling.He especially worked hard on design and symmetry.

The first is a large apple he made for his friend Roger:

( I helped with the finishing so he wanted me to put my marque on too )

Size 4 very lite dublin. Glenn learned an important lesson on this pipe in regards to siters. You have to wait until the stem is bent before finishing the bottom! He didn t know this and the pipe doesn t sit.
