Today s work consists of various special orders as well as a couple new ones for the web store. The first is a design submitted by Chris Gregory, U.K.
He cobbled this together in PS using half of a TimWest pipe and half of one of mine. These are his words:
You have done a fantastic job of turning a third rate Photoshop image into the pipe I had in my mind's eye - are sure you have not put spyware on one of my computers to report my thoughts back to you :-It really is drop dead, knicker wetting gorgeous !!!
You really have surpassed yourself, to say I am pleased is insufficient - I am ecstatic.
I think the red/black stain serves to highlight the smooth panels to perfection.
I hope it did not cause you too many headaches.

The next pipe I made a couple weeks ago , I have a new Swiss customer who I thought would like it, and he did

You may have noticed the above two pix are a little different! I got my new Nikon Coolpix 8400 camera going this weekend with help from Chris Chapman. I need some time to get used to it. Needs a lot less light and you can t jiggle thepipe like you could on my old Mavica.
The next pipe was made from a picture for Ryan Newhouse. Ryan and Chris were over last weekend. He s doing an article on me for P&T Mag on flyfishing/pipe smoking/making. Chris is a photographer and was along to take some nice photos. Here s one he took in the shop:
Before they came, Ryan asked me to make him a nice med.size full bent Volcano. I ll have a blast of this same shape in a couple weeks with equally as good grain which will be for sale unless Ryan wants it first:
